Esquisse three – 3D translation

My interpretation of sunflower, translated into 3d form. I really like how the shape turned out to be.
It sort of has mechanical look to it. The base and the tip, where the spikes are attached to are prism shaped, geometrical and simple. The way I was thinking about the construction was that i wanted it to look as contrast as possible, than the real sunflower, basically I wanted to turn organic shapes, which is represented by the sunflower, to simple, geometrical shape which is achieved with the model.
